Hazel and her Jo Jo relaxing at Burney Falls.

Hazel loved walking through the Lava tube. Hey any time she had a chance to use her flashlight with the whistle she was hap-py!! Hazel posing with her cousins and Uncle Bob and Auntie Carol.

Burney Falls. We were impressed. Coming from the land of waterfalls it couldn't be just any trickle of water over rocks to make us ooohhh and ahhh, but this sure did!

Hazel and Nate and Uncle Dave. She climbed right up on his lap just to hang out. Boy, to think a couple years ago she cried at the site of him!

Inside the Lava tube. She is helping her Uncles Billy and Tom find their way out, light the way with her flashlight.

Lassen with The Family

That's our girl...a true blooded Oregonian...didn't flinch at the brrr cold, snow melt lake water! Just kept wanting more, even as her teeth chattered and lips turned blue!!

The motley crew (minus Uncles Billy and Tom-joined us later that afternoon) out on their first adventure to find that perfect swimming hole at Butte Lake.

Hazie and her Uncle Bob Bob! I think she would say her legs were tired anytime to get to ride up there!!

Will walk for blueberries!!! Hazel did a great job hiking at Butte Lake. She marched right along up some impressive hills for her little legs.

Up in the cupola of the caboose train.

Learning to work in the train yard.

Birds eye view from the cupola.

I've been working on the railroad!

Crazy face with a crazy face!

Hazie's lucky number 26 Caboose. She loved staying in a caboose for the night. Our caboose had a cupola so she had fun climbing up the ladder and sitting up high.

Ahhh...but what is better than a train to a water loving girl???? The pool of course!!!! (No we weren't being over the top in the water safety department...she wanted to wear her water wings and her tube at the same time!).

Girl's Get-Away

Yummm....cake batter ice cream (picked based on the color-yellow!)...I was able to get 2 licks out of her! We walked by a toystore and she wanted to hop on the gliding bike..I kept fingers crossed that she didn't drip the whole cone onto the bike!

Cheese!

Girl's Get-Away

Hazel and I went off on our first Girl's getaway to Manzanita Beach to celebrate a belated birthday for Auntie Karen. This is a pic of Hazel and her Auntie Karen braving the COLD water and getting in the waves! Thank you Karen...you saved my cold phobic body from having to get in the water!!! Hazel stayed for a few minutes and then left Karen to swim by herself!

Hazie and Zoey playing on the sand.

It started with Hazel trying to bury our feet and ended with Auntie Karen covering her with sand.
She loved it!!

Ahhh....Happy, smiling, cocoa faces.

Where's the dog??? I can't help but think that she resembles the Coppertone girl with the dog pulling on her suit. Pure joy is on her face, running on the beach in the cold!
